Along with fruit aromas like apple, pear, or peach, you may also find some floral aromas too. It’s a very versatile grape which can make wines ranging from being absolutely dry to lusciously sweet. The reason it is famously used to make sweet wines is because of its high natural acidity which helps to balance the sweetness in the wine. The way I usually explain this is, think about nimbu paani (lemon water), the acidity from the lemon juice balances the sugar added & hence it becomes such an enjoyable drink.
